This workshop is truly unlike any other offered in Texas. Photographers will not only receive the experience of a wildlife photography ranch, nestled in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, but will also get to experience photographing these unique birds in unique situations around the property. If you want non-stop action, this workshop is for you!
While some photo tours are exclusive to a type of animal, this is not one of those. On this tour, you will have the opportunity to go back home with a wide portfolio of images of birds, mammals, reptiles, landscapes, and much more!

There will be very light hiking to and from our destinations as we go to different areas for our target species.
Hiking boots are recommended, as well as long clothing.

A full itinerary will be provided at least 1-2 weeks in advance. Directions to the ranch as well as airport recommendations will be given once you have registered.
For this trip, it is recommended for photographers to bring lenses with focal lengths that can reach at least 400-600mm, but all types of gear are welcomed. Backups of all gear is highly recommended. Please bring as many memory cards and storage devices as possible.
If desired, photographers will have the option to be loaned out a wide-angle lens for scenic type shots, free of charge.The scheduling for this must be done with at least two weeks in advance via email and/or phone call conversations w/ Daniel Gomez.
If you would like to take advantage of the prestine land, and take some astrophotography and/or macrophotography, you may do so. Within the gallery above is a small sample of some images taken on the ranch that involve macro & astrophotography. This is separate from the workshop and photographers are not charged for this option.
