About Me

Welcome to my website! My name is Daniel Gomez, and I am a nature photographer based in San Antonio, Texas with a particular focus on avian wildlife. I am a workshop leader, photo tour guide, and presenter for various wildlife and photography topics.

I serve as a current member in the Bexar County Audubon Society, and the Native Plant Society of Texas. Also, I previously served as a board member for the San Antonio Audubon Society.

When not in the field, I am spending time with my lovely wife, our beautiful daughter, and our rescue dog, Ranger.

I created this site as a platform to share my images and insights on all aspects of wildlife and nature photography.

I am truly grateful to have learned from two of the finest avian wildlife photographers in the United States, Scott Keys and Ray Hennessy. Both of these talented photographers have generously shared their expertise, and I highly recommend their mentorship programs to anyone looking to elevate their wildlife photography. Their unique perspectives and approach to capturing the beauty of nature have been a significant inspiration throughout my photography journey.

I offer hands-on photo tours in regions like the Texas Hill Country and the Lower Rio Grande Valley. These tours are designed to help you connect with the beauty of Texas and enhance your photography skills. Please visit the Photo Tours section, and join me in experiencing the diverse wildlife that Texas has to offer.
